Sponsored by Becky Nelson, Fort Dodge, IA (6/07-6/08)
Trixie quickly lost over a quarter of her body weight, and it was time to say good-bye on 2/21/09.  Exact cause of her demise couldn't be determined.   She was spunky right to the end!

Biography:         Trixie is a long-haired beauty who was turned in to the Humane Society in Fort Dodge, Iowa.  She had a bad upper respiratory infection and was not responding well to antibiotics.  A local vet ran some tests, found out she had feline leukemia, and wanted to euthanize her!  Lucky for Trixie, Becky Nelson, a Humane Society volunteer, said "no way" and brought her to Witty Kitties.  Trixie has huge paws and a big fluffy tail and loves to play with toys.  She bats and chases anything that rolls all over the place!  She was a little shy at first, but now she accepts (somewhat warily) petting and ear scratches.  She's not a cuddler, but she is a beauty!
