Sadie Mae gradually slowed down, lost weight, and (after a day of special attention from volunteers) told us it was time on 8/25/13.

Biography:         Sadie Mae came to us from Paws and More in Washington, IA.  Sadie was in foster care for several years, and recently developed a fungal condition on her face.  We cultured the area and it is not ringworm.  However, she lost a lot of the fur on her cheeks, chin, and around her eyes.  She rubbed her cheeks against the side of the cage when she was transferred and irritated her skin even more.  Sadie Mae looks considerably better after only a couple weeks, and we're hopeful that her fur will grow back over time.  Meanwhile, she's enjoying exploring her room and acts a lot more kittenish than her age.  She's very petite, and can be a little ornery with some of the other cats.  But she's not aggressive and is friendly and playful with people.   Sadie Mae could be even older than the 12 years Jenni estimated, but she's got a lot of spunk and would love to spend her final years in a home of her very own!

Special Needs:  Fungal condition
