Biography:        GK (Garage Kitty) was found as a stray by his sponsor, Rebecca Hooper, who fostered him from February, 2011 until he arrived at Witty Kitties.  She spent tons of time working on socializing him, as he was a very wild boy when she first found him.  After arriving at Witty Kitties, GK stayed in a haven for nearly a month, just so he could get used to the shelter routine and different people coming in and talking to him.  He wasn't always happy when we reached in to pet him, and only a few of us were brave enough to pick him up and cuddle.  But we could hold him, so he's not really feral.  Finally we opened the haven door, and he seems much happier just to be out and about.  GK will probably never be a lap cat, but he is certainly a handsome guy and is lovely to gaze at from across the room!
