Andy developed leukemia and got the best present -- he spent the last week of his life in his favorite commons room, where he received many hugs, pets, and good-byes.  We helped him over the bridge on 2/1/14.

Biography:        Andy came to us from one of our favorite shelters, Paws and More, in Washington, Iowa.  He is one of the most striking cats we've ever had!!  His ears were apparently surgically altered to their current shape, and we don't have any idea why.  They are too symmetrically deformed to be a congenital anomaly.  But don't worry about his hearing.  It is excellent, since the second the door to his room opens up he comes sprinting from where ever he is to go out and explore in the main room.  This guy REALLY needs a big home to run through and explore!!  He's sweet as can be, and those big round eyes look right into your soul.  Perhaps you should come give him a look -- you won't forget his!
