Dr. J lost his battle with this *!&%# virus on 8/25/10.  He was just too damn cute, riding around on everyone's shoulders, and loving life to the max.  We gave him many hugs, shed many tears, and John gave him one final ride, before Jenni helped him over the rainbow bridge.   He was Kirsten's favorite.

Biography:        Two little stray kittens were turned in to the Iowa City Animal Care & Adoption Center, where one (Jerry) tested positive for feline leukemia, and the other (Ben) tested negative.  After two months in foster care together, they were tested again with the same results.  So Jerry became Dr. J (in honor of his acrobatic jumping and climbing skills) and came to Witty Kitties, and Ben went back to Iowa City.  Dr. J is a very playful kitten, and has become very close friends with Clementine -- we often find them curled up asleep together.  Jerry will jump on your back with the slightest encouragement, and comes when called from outside.  He's a very smart boy!  The odds aren't good for him, since he's had the virus since kittenhood.  We're giving him as much love and attention as possible for as long as he's got because he deserves no less than that.  He'll steal your heart if you come visit him!
